Meet the best boss any hairstylist could ever ask for – Anna Thompson! Anna has owned Signature Hair Salon since 1994 and is one of Whangarei’s longest running hair salons. Born and raised in Northland Anna has a wealth of experience and exceptional talents in cutting all types of hair and still thrives on the challenges that hairdressing brings.
Anna is a mum of three super cool boys which keep her going non-stop. Summertime sees the whole family relaxing at the bach in Oakura where Anna finally gets to relax.
Senior Stylist
Janaya is a long standing senior stylist and is a huge asset to the team at Signature Hair Design. You’ll have to book in fast to get in with Janaya as she has outstanding talents in colouring hair. With 16 years experience, foiling and highlights are Janaya’s favourite part of the job. Janaya spends most of her time with her kids, family and friends and enjoys fishing and camping in Northland.

Meet Maureen, the Signature salon shopping queen! 17 years in the trade, Maureen excels at hair colouring and making her clients feel good. Also very good at cutting hair, Maureen says that her favourite part of her job is finishing and styling work, so if you want a hot look for a special occasion, book in to see Maureen today.
When Maureen isn’t chasing around after her son you’ll find her organising parties and get togethers with family and friends.

Vicki is one of our full time stylists with more than 28 years in the industry!
Vicki enjoys all aspects of hairdressing and getting to know her clients. Vicki’s talents lie in cutting hair and she especially loves the challenge of giving someone a totally new look. Outside of work Vicki enjoys tramping in the outdoors, gardening and exploring beautiful Northland.

As a senior stylist, Nicole is passionate about doing blonde colour works and balayage. Specialising in hair extensions, she is also an expert in listening to her client’s needs. After being a counsellor in Australia for many years, Nicole now enjoys getting her hands dirty in the garden on the weekends.
Stylist
Abi has a real passion for blonde foiling work and loves bright fashion colours too – both giving such satisfying results. In her free time you will find Abi looking after her 3 horses all who keep her on her toes.
